Beard Trimming Tips

Psst… We do beard trims at work. Check out our contact page to get us in your office.

Guys, our 4 Summer Hairstyles may not have been up your alley, but your hair care routine is just as important as the ladies, especially when the hair is on your face. Today, we’re talking facial hair with Chris, our Senior Stylist, who happens to have a few tricks up his sleeve to stay smooth and lookin’ good.

1. Trim your beard with every haircut.

Just like the hair on your head, your beard needs a fresh look too. Chris advises to get your beard trimmed with every haircut – that’s typically every 3 to 4 weeks.

2. Soften your beard with Redken products.

Shampoo your beard about the same amount as you shampoo the hair on your head, and apply a beard oil after your shower. For even better results, brush your beard with a beard brush to distribute oil.

3. Enhance your features with different styles of facial hair.

Always wanted a better jawline? Even if you’re not used to having facial hair, consider giving it a go. An expert like Chris knows how to enhance your features – jawline, chin, etc. It’s all about face shape. Next time you’re in the salon chair, ask your stylist what look would best suit yours.

4. Put some shaving cream on your mirror.

Yep, you read that right. If you chose not to grow a beard and are shaving in the shower (which we suggest you do to soften the hair), apply shaving cream to your shower mirror. Wipe it off and shave. The residual cream will keep the mirror from fogging up too much.
